Temple Silhouette Plate

Say hello to my latest vinyl project!

A while back, I was recruited to serve on the Enrichment Committee so I could make these posters advertising our Relief Society Birthday Celebration.  They had a definite vision for what they wanted:  A large white temple silhouette on a black background.  Of course my Cricut came to the rescue.  I figured out how to use my Sure Cuts A Lot software to cut out a temple silhouette that I downloaded.  But I realized that there were so many cool things I could make with a temple silhouette!  Like this:
I found this red charger plate for 1.99, cut some vinyl, and now I have this keepsake on our shelf.  It displays a silhouette of the Denver Temple where we were married.  Our friend Andrew built this shelf for us, and I love it!!
I have been trying to add more red into our living room, so I love this!
What do you think?
PS I will be doing a little tutorial on creating silhouettes in Photoshop next week!!

  3. How beautiful! My husband and I were married in the Provo Temple last August, I would love to make something like that, but I don't have a Cricut, will I still be able to with your tutorial? I hope so!
